ABOUT MY PHOTOGRAPHY -

Choosing the right photographer for your wedding can be as daunting and frightening as choosing the perfect venue to match your expectations. That is why I recommend following your heart and not a sales pitch. You know from the start if the photographer is the one for you. If their style of photography matches your dreams, book them as soon as possible.

My style is commonly known as reportage or natural, but I prefer the term “ photo journalist “. In other words my aim is to capture the events and emotion from the day in a manner which tells a story.

I like to arrive in plenty of time to capture the finishing touches of you getting ready. I love to photograph you having your dress adjusted and your make up or hair being completed. It documents an important part of your day. From there I like to take a few formal bridal portraits of you and then some relaxed ones of you with your bridesmaids and parents. I record the service totally naturally, and afterwards let you enjoy time with your friends and family. If you are at a church we will take a handful of portraits of you both and some group shots if requested.

A little later on at the reception venue I will take you away for your formal bride and groom shots. I use the term “ formal “ very lightly as I am always having a laugh and joke with you as I know how hard this part can be for you both. If you look in my galleries, you will see how relaxed the couples are. This can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour depending entirely on how much you would like to do. Again, you will get lots of ideas from my gallery from traditional to contempary to a fashion look.

The most important factor for you to consider when choosing a photographer is that you like their work and that you like them ! You will spend a lot of time with the photographer so make sure that the style is right and they are the type of person you would invite as a guest. I am genuinely a friendly and outgoing person but also unobtrusive. I remember first and foremost that it is your day and will do everything in my power to make it as memorable as possible for you.
